MTN Data Bundles & Internet Subscription Codes

Unknown     8:35 AM     Gadgets Review     No comments

Regardless of how frequently you browse the internet, MTN has a good number of internet data plans that you can choose from. All you need to do is read through the various plans (as explained below), and simply send or dial the specific activation code for that plan. Your bundle plan will be activated immediately, and you will receive an SMS confirming this.mtnUpdate (May 17, 2016): MTN has just rolled out New Data Plans. Read on to find out more about them. It’s the bomb!

Below are the available internet data plans offered by MTN:

  • 30MB plan (N100): This allows you to enjoy 30MB of data for 24 hours. To activate, text 104 to 131.

  • 100MB plan (N200): This allows you to enjoy 100MB of data for 24 hours. To activate, text 113 to 131

  • 750MB plan (N500): This also allows you to enjoy 750MB of data, but for 7 days (24/7). To activate, text 103 to 131.

  • 1.5GB plan (N1,000): This plan allows you to enjoy 1500MB of data for 30 days (24/7). To activate, text 106 to 131.

  • 3.5GB plan (N2,000): This plan allows you to enjoy 3500MB of data for 30 days (24/7). To activate, text 110 to 131.

  • 10GB plan (N5,000): This plan allows you to enjoy 10,000MB of data for 30 days (24/7). To activate, text 116 to 131.

  • 22GB plan (N10,000): This plan allows you to enjoy 22,000MB of data for 30 days (24/7). To activate, text 117 to 131.

  • 3GB Night plan (N2,500): This plan allows you to enjoy 4.5GB (3GB + 1.5GB bonus) of data for 30 days (The 1.5GB bonus can be used at any time of the day. But after you’ve exhausted this bonus, you will only be allowed to use the main 3GB data within the night period, which is 9pm to 6am every day). To activate, dial *102# or text 102 to 131.

  • 3GB Weekend plan (N3,000): This plan allows you to enjoy 4.5GB (3GB + 1.5GB bonus) of data for 30 days (on weekends only, from 9pm on Friday to 6am on Monday). To activate, dial *108# or text 108 to 131.

  • 4.5GB Night and Day plan (N2,500): This plan is almost similar to the Night plan (explained above), but this plan is better in that it splits your data into two parts: 1.5GB to be used during the day + 3GB to be used during the night. So, between 6.01am and 8.59pm, your internet usage will be deducted from the 1.5GB data meant for the day. And between 9.00pm and 6.00am, your internet usage will be charged from the 3GB data. To activate, dial *120# or text 120 to 131.

  • 500MB Night Plan (N25): This new plan is only available to Pulse subscribers and it gives you access the internet from 12 Midnight till 4am with a data cap of 500MB for just N25. To be on the Pulse plan, simply dial *406#. To subscribe to the Night Plan text Night to 131

  • 1 GB Night Plan (9pm to 6am – N200: This is also another new night plan, for as low as N200 you can surf the web from 9pm to 6am at any day of the week and is valid for 30days. To activate dial *198# select 2 from the options displayed, then select 8 from the next set of options and then select 1

  • 2.5GB Night Plan (9pm to 6am – N500): For as low as N500 you can also access the internet, stream and download with this plan from 9pm to 6am at any day of the week which is valid for 30days. To activate dial *198# select 2 from the options displayed, then select 8 from the next set of options and then select 2.

  • 3.5GB Night Plan (9pm to 6am – N1000): With just N1000 you can subscribe to the this 3.5GB night plan and gain access to the web from 9pm to 6am at any day of the week and is valid for 30days. To activate this plan, dial *198# select 2 from the options displayed, then select 8 from the next set of options and then select 3.

To check your mtn data usage: dial *559*2#

MTN allows you to roll over your unused data to the next month. For example, if you have 100MB of data left for this month, it will be added to your data for next month — provided that you allow automatic renewal. That is, you must have loaded the subscription amount before your current plan expires.

PS. Before subscribing to any of these plans, ensure that the 3G network is available in your area. (If your phone does display 3G or H beside the network signal indicator, this means the 3G network is available). Without 3G, you won’t enjoy high-speed browsing.
